Publikacja z zakresu psychologii rodziny. Autorka koncentruje się na zagadnieniu relacji między rodzeństwem we wczesnej dorosłości. Na podstawie rezultatów badań własnych została stworzona pierwsza polska autorska typologia relacji z rodzeństwem we wczesnej dorosłości. W książce czytelnik znajdzie ponadto przegląd literatury światowej, omówienie wyników badań własnych, dyskusję na temat ich rezultatów oraz prezentację implikacji praktycznych.
Wartość pracy podnosi przeprowadzona przez Autorkę adaptacja dwóch testów do badania relacji między rodzeństwem. Dzięki starannie i wnikliwie przeprowadzonej analizie wyników badań własnych, w oparciu o analizę skupień, Autorce udało się opracować pierwszą w Polsce typologię relacji między rodzeństwem, uwzględniającą typy relacji: ambiwalentny, niechętny i wspierający. Fakt ten bardzo wyraźnie podnosi wartość publikacji i czyni ją bardzo wartościowym opracowaniem naukowym w tym obszarze tematycznym.
